Improving futures with Service Design

I'm a Service Designer with an MFA and 10+ years of professional experience in design. I’ve worked with everything from social services, to banks, to shared mobility.

Currently I work with electric mobility at Scania, as part of our efforts to become carbon-neutral. Together with my team I design new services connected to large electric vehicles that build long-term value for Scania’s customers.

My special interest is using design to discuss what kind of society we want, and how we might get there. In other words transition- and speculative design. If you share this interest, feel free to reach out.

Additional competencies

User Experience Design

The services I’ve designed have essentially always included a digital touchpoint of some sort, so I’ve done a lot of high-level concept work in UX. I’ve also worked as a UX-designer full time for almost a year at HSB, where I worked closely with developers and other designers to deliver a live solution. This gave me a deeper understanding of what UX means that I carry with me whenever designing anything digital.

Industrial Design (physical product design)

While I chose to specialize in Service Design, my education BA+MA is industrial design at it’s core. This means I can sketch, model, prototype and collaborate in the manufacturing of physical products. In my startup, LeeLuu Labs, we took our own product (LeeLuu nightlights) from sketch to production-ready. As a Service Designer my skills in industrial design help me both design services that appeal to all senses and to effectively collaborate around the design any physical touchpoint of a service.
